Terms of Use
Last updated 11 October 2026
The short version
- ๐ณ You pay once. A pass runs for a fixed time and then simply ends. Nothing renews or charges you again.
- ๐ง A child's account needs a parent or carer. They agree to these terms for the child.
- ๐ This is practice, not the real test. No score here predicts a selection result.
- โ๏ธ Your rights under Australian Consumer Law always apply. Nothing here takes them away.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Exampath is operated by [Business name] (ABN [ABN]). These terms apply to anyone who uses the website or app. By creating an account, or by a parent or carer approving a child's account, you agree to them. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
2. Children's accounts
Most students are children. A child's account is only usable once a parent or carer has approved it, or when a parent, carer or school created it. That adult accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for the account, including any purchase made for it.
3. What the service is โ and is not
Exampath is practice and teaching for Australian selective-school, scholarship and NAPLAN tests. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the NSW Department of Education, the Victorian Department of Education, ACER, EduTest, John Monash Science School, ACARA or any school or test provider. Our papers are written to the published structure of each test; they are not the real papers.
Scores, bands and readiness indicators describe performance on our practice material. They are not predictions of a selection outcome, which depends on the whole group of candidates on test day. Where a number is our own estimate rather than a published fact, the app says so beside it.
4. The free trial
New accounts get 10 days of free access, without card details. When the trial ends the account stays open and keeps its history, but new practice needs a pass or bought mock exams. You are never charged automatically at the end of a trial.
5. Passes and mock exams
Passes are one-off payments. Each pass gives access for a fixed period and then ends. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal; to continue, you buy another pass. Prices are in Australian dollars and are the total you pay.
- 1 Month Pass: A$45 for 30 days, 1 full mock exam included.
- 3 Month Pass: A$120 for 90 days, 1 full mock exam included.
- 6 Month Pass: A$215 for 182 days, 3 full mock exams included.
- 9 Month Pass: A$320 for 273 days, 6 full mock exams included.
- Year Pass: A$390 for 365 days, unlimited full mock exams.
- Family Pass โ 9 months: A$450 for 273 days, unlimited full mock exams.
- Family Pass โ 1 year: A$540 for 365 days, unlimited full mock exams.
Mock exams can also be bought on their own: 1 mock exam for A$45, 3 mock exams for A$119, 5 mock exams for A$190, 10 mock exams for A$329. A bought mock exam is a credit on the student's account. It is used only when a full mock is submitted, after any mocks included in a current pass, and it does not expire while the account is open. Each Saturday live mock also uses one mock, from the pass or a bought credit; unlimited passes include every one.
Payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure page; we never see or store card numbers. The current prices are always on the pricing page. A price change never affects a pass you have already bought.
6. Refunds and your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service has a major failure, you are entitled to cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have it fixed in a reasonable time, and if that is not done, to cancel and get a refund for the unused portion.
Change of mind: [Change-of-mind refund policy โ owner to decide, e.g. a full refund within 7 days of purchase if no full mock exam has been sat]
When a payment is refunded, what it bought is withdrawn: a refunded pass ends, and refunded mock-exam credits that have not been used are removed. To ask for a refund, use the contact page or email [contact email].
7. Using the service fairly
Accounts are personal. Please do not:
- share a password, or let more students use an account than the pass allows;
- copy, scrape, sell or publish our questions, lessons or papers;
- try to get around the timers, the trial, payment or security, or to read another person's information;
- upload anything unlawful or anything that is not the student's own work when asking for feedback.
We may suspend an account that does these things, and will tell the account holder why.
8. Our content
The questions, passages, lessons, drawings and papers in Exampath are ours or used with permission. You may use them for the student's own study. Practice data in experiment questions is made up for practice and is labelled as such; it should not be quoted as a real result.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may improve or change features. If a change takes away something a current pass was sold with, we will offer a fair remedy, including a partial refund.
10. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for selection or placement decisions made by schools or test providers.
11. Closing an account
You can delete your account at any time from Account โ Security. A parent or carer can ask us to close a linked child's account. Deleting an account does not by itself refund a pass; see section 6.
12. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of [State, e.g. New South Wales], Australia. Questions: [contact email] ยท Post: [Postal address]. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we will show the new date at the top and tell account holders before the change applies.
